Caelan and Mom are Home
Everyone's home. Caelan is fine. Mom is very tired. Hopefully, we will not go back to Birmingham until next Monday. One day at a time. Praise God for all His blessings, praise Him for who He is, praise Him for His grace and mercy, lest we be consumed. Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord. Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me — put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
May we all rest well tonight, thinking on things above, praising the Lord, trusting in His benevolent care.

I wanted to offer an alternate translation to part of the passage Alan quoted that my father taught me at a very young age. It is simple and very easy to understand!
"Don't worry about anything, instead PRAY about everything. Tell God your needs and don't forget to thank him for his answers".
As a young child that made a lot of sense to me and I remember that passage every day.

I'm sure this will be a tough year but God is faithful! Sorry we weren't able to get together while I'm in the States but there's always next year. I look forward to seeing you guys next year when your son is fully healed.

"Our Great High Priest offers us all the resources we ever need. He is our representative, and He is able to settle every claim against us at the throne of grace." This is today's calendar note (May 21) on a friend's desk in...Wait, where are we? We're traveling now; in fact, we need to go and pack, but have great internet connections from here so wanted to check your blog one more time before we leave. The reference is Heb 4:14 for the quote and the emphasis today is on the name of our Lord as Our Great High Priest. We're so thankful He provides us with entrance to the throne and is the petitioner on our behalf. Through Him, we go directly to the Father! May you enter the throne today confidently knowing that He is your representative and offers all the resources your family needs right now, tomorrow and for all eternity. We love you!
